Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a nutrition promotion assembly featuring a video of elite athletes promoting healthy fruit and vegetable eating behaviors, followed by taste-tests, and 6 monthly in class public service announcement type videos will improve elementary students' nutrition knowledge, familiarity, preferences, daily variety and decrease neophobias to fruits and vegetables.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a nutrition promotion assembly featuring a video of elite athletes promoting healthy fruit and vegetable eating behaviors, followed by taste-tests, and 6 monthly in class public service announcement type videos will improve elementary students' nutrition knowledge, familiarity, preferences, daily variety and decrease neophobias to fruits and vegetables.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how a nutrition program can affect children's eating habits. The program includes a video featuring athletes who talk about eating fruits and vegetables. Children will also taste different fruits and vegetables and watch monthly videos in class.

Participants in the study will watch videos and participate in taste tests. The taste tests help children try new foods and learn about healthy eating.
