The purpose of this study is to understand how elementary school-aged children learn literacy in classrooms, including those designed to provide systemic social skills instruction and intensive behavior interventions.

This study investigates how elementary school-aged children learn literacy in classrooms. It focuses on classrooms that provide systemic social skills instruction and intensive behavior interventions. This means the study will look at how teaching methods that include social skills and behavior support help children learn to read and write.
The study involves observing classroom activities and collecting data on teaching methods and student progress. Researchers will analyze how these approaches affect literacy learning among students. Intensive behavior interventions refer to strategies that address challenging behaviors to help students focus on learning.
- Who can participate: The study is open to children aged 6 to 12 who are part of classrooms providing social skills and behavior interventions.
- Study details: Participants will be observed during their regular classroom activities. No additional tasks will be required from the children.
