This study investigates how using critical literacy in an English as a Second Language (ESL) setting can affect students' understanding of social justice. Critical literacy involves analyzing and understanding the relationships between language and power in texts, which can help learners see different perspectives and recognize social inequalities.

Participants in this study will engage in various activities that focus on reading, discussing, and analyzing texts with a social justice theme. These activities are designed to help ESL learners develop a deeper understanding of social issues and how they are represented in language.
