The purpose of this study is to summarize the experience at IU health associated hospitals with robot-assisted nephrectomy to treat XGP in the past 10 years.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of robot-assisted nephrectomy in treating XGP, which stands for Xanthogranulomatous Pyelonephritis, at IU Health associated hospitals over the past decade. XGP is a rare type of chronic kidney infection that can lead to severe inflammation and damage to the kidney.
Participants in the study will undergo robot-assisted nephrectomy, a surgical procedure where a robot helps doctors remove a kidney. This study will review the experiences and outcomes of patients who have had this procedure to better understand its effectiveness and safety.
