Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to observe outcomes in terms of recurrence and overall survival of patients who have undergone surgical resection for sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma compared to a matched cohort of patients who have undergoine surgical resection for renal cell carcinoma without sarcomatoid component.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma, kidney cancer
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the outcomes for patients with sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma who have had surgery to remove the tumor. Sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma is a type of kidney cancer that has a specific cell type called sarcomatoid, which can affect the way the cancer behaves.

Participants in the study will have their outcomes, such as cancer recurrence and overall survival, compared to those of patients with regular renal cell carcinoma who have also had surgery. The study aims to understand how the presence of sarcomatoid cells impacts these outcomes.

  • Who can participate: This study is for adults who have undergone surgical resection for renal cell carcinoma. It includes those with and without a sarcomatoid component in their cancer.
  • Study details: Participants will be observed for outcomes like cancer recurrence and survival.
