This study investigates how people in Indiana perceive and categorize speech from different dialect regions within the state. Dialects are variations in language that occur in different areas or among different groups of people, which can affect how speech sounds and is understood.
Participants will listen to recordings of speech from various dialects in Indiana and categorize them based on their perceptions. This process will help researchers understand how dialect influences speech perception.
