The purpose of this study is to examine how listening to music with cochlear implants influences perception of emotion in music.

The purpose of this study is to examine how listening to music with cochlear implants influences perception of emotion in music.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: cochlear implant
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how listening to music affects the perception of emotion in individuals using cochlear implants. Cochlear implants are devices that help people with severe hearing loss to hear by directly stimulating the auditory nerve.

Participants will listen to different types of music and report on their emotional experiences. The study aims to understand how music perception is influenced by the use of cochlear implants.

  • Who can participate: Eligibility criteria include individuals aged 18 and above who use cochlear implants.
  • Study details: Participants will be asked to listen to various music pieces and describe their emotional responses. A placebo is not involved in this study.
