Brief description of study.

The aims of this study are:

  1. Determine GLY exposure in a diverse pool of preterm and term pregnancies, and its association with dietary intake and inhalation.
  2. Determine whether GLY exposure is a risk factor for fetal growth restriction, shortened pregnancy, and preterm birth.
  3. Determine whether GLY exposure in pregnancy correlates with oxidative DNA stress.

Detailed description of study

The aims of this study are:

  1. Determine GLY exposure in a diverse pool of preterm and term pregnancies, and its association with dietary intake and inhalation.
  2. Determine whether GLY exposure is a risk factor for fetal growth restriction, shortened pregnancy, and preterm birth.
  3. Determine whether GLY exposure in pregnancy correlates with oxidative DNA stress.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the exposure to GLY, a chemical, during pregnancy and its potential effects on fetal growth and pregnancy duration. GLY exposure may occur through diet and inhalation, and the study aims to understand how this exposure might be linked to outcomes such as fetal growth restriction and early birth.

Participants in the study will undergo procedures to measure their GLY exposure levels. The study will also assess whether GLY exposure is associated with oxidative DNA stress, a condition where DNA is damaged by reactive molecules.

  • Who can participate: Participants must meet specific age criteria and other eligibility factors to join the study.
  • Study details: Participants will be required to provide samples for measuring GLY exposure. The study will include assessments to determine the relationship between GLY exposure and oxidative DNA stress, involving specific procedures for sample collection.
