Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to learn what method has the lowest risk of complications when removing a large Polyp.

Detailed description of study

The primary purpose is to understand whether a specific intervention will reduce the risk of adverse events. The study will examine the rate of complications, complete polyp resection, and polyp recurrence during 5 years of follow-ups by looking at different factors, these include patient factors, polyp characteristics, procedural characteristics, and endoscopist characteristics. This study will better represent the average patient who undergoes resection of a large polyp. Furthermore, it will add sample size to a previous similar study to examine secondary outcomes with greater power.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: colorectal polyp
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates methods for removing large polyps, which are growths that can form in the lining of the colon. The purpose is to find out which method has the lowest risk of complications, such as bleeding or infection, after the removal.

Participants will undergo different procedures to remove the polyps. The study will check for complications, successful removal, and if the polyps come back over a period of five years. It will consider various factors like patient characteristics and the skills of the doctors performing the procedure.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be adults aged 18 and older with diagnosed large polyps requiring removal. Key eligibility factors include overall health status and absence of certain medical conditions that could increase surgical risk.
  • Study details: Participants will have polyps removed using different methods. The study will assess the success and safety of these methods.
  • Study Timelines: The study will last 5 years.
