The purpose of this study is to investigate how musicians prepare for sight-reading. Sight-reading is when musicians play a piece of music they have not seen before. The study aims to learn how musicians mentally organize the materials in a musical score, which is the written music they read from.
Participants will be asked to perform sight-reading tasks and explain their preparation process. The study will look at how they arrange and understand the notes and symbols in the music to play it accurately.
