Effect of Postoperative Sagittal Balance and Spinopelvic Parameters on the Outcome of Pediatric Patients Surgically Treated for Neuromuscular Scoliosis
Investigating Postoperative Alignment in Neuromuscular Scoliosis Surgery
Brief description of study.
The objective of this study is to determine the influence of postoperative sagittal spinopelvic alignment on parent-reported outcome (PRO) measures following neuromuscular scoliosis surgery.
Detailed description of study
The objective of this study is to determine the influence of postoperative sagittal spinopelvic alignment on parent-reported outcome (PRO) measures following neuromuscular scoliosis surgery.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Neuromuscular Scoliosis
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the effects of postoperative sagittal spinopelvic alignment on outcomes reported by parents after surgery for neuromuscular scoliosis. Neuromuscular scoliosis is a condition where the spine curves due to muscle weakness or imbalance, often seen in children with neurological conditions. The study aims to understand how the spine's alignment after surgery impacts recovery and daily life.
Participants in this study will undergo specific assessments to evaluate the alignment of their spine after surgery. The assessments will focus on how the alignment affects the daily life and health of the participants, as reported by their parents. The study will collect and analyze this information to draw conclusions about the relationship between spinal alignment and recovery outcomes.
- Who can participate: Participants are children aged X to Y with neuromuscular scoliosis who have undergone surgery. Key eligibility factors include having a parent or guardian who can report on the outcomes.
- Study details: Participants will have their spine alignment assessed after surgery. Parents will report on various outcomes related to the child's health and daily activities.
