The purpose of this study is to establish what a normal blood ammonia would be for fasting, healthy individuals.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 74 years
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to determine what a normal blood ammonia level is in healthy individuals who are fasting. Ammonia is a compound found in the blood that is produced when proteins are broken down in the body. Understanding normal levels can help in assessing various health conditions.

Participants in this study will have their blood drawn to measure ammonia levels while fasting. Fasting means not eating or drinking anything except water for a certain period before the test. This procedure will help researchers establish a baseline for what is considered normal.

  • Who can participate: Healthy individuals aged 18 and older who are able to fast for a specified period are eligible to participate in this study.
