The purpose of this study is to investigate the recognition of speech in the presence of different types of background noise.

Detailed description of study

This study examines human?s perception of speech. The purpose of this study is to examine how young normal-hearing adults understand spoken speech in varied levels and types of background noise.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 90 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how people recognize speech when there is different background noise. It looks at how young adults with normal hearing understand spoken words when there are various types and levels of noise around them.

Participants will listen to speech in different noisy environments to see how well they can understand it. This will help researchers learn more about speech perception in challenging listening situations.

  • Who can participate: Young adults aged 18-35 with normal hearing are eligible to participate in this study.
  • Study details: Participants will be asked to listen to speech in different types of background noise to assess their understanding.
