Detailed description of study

The primary objective of this study is to examine whether altered autonomic nervous system function and muscle tension may explain the effects of childhood trauma on adult sexual function and treatment responsiveness in a clinical sample seeking help for erectile dysfunction.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: erectile dysfunction
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates whether changes in the autonomic nervous system and muscle tension can explain how childhood trauma affects adult sexual function. The study focuses on individuals experiencing erectile dysfunction, a condition where it is difficult to get or keep an erection. Researchers aim to understand if these bodily changes influence how individuals respond to treatment.

Participants will undergo assessments to measure their autonomic nervous system function and muscle tension. These assessments will help determine any connections between past trauma and current sexual health challenges. By analyzing this data, the study seeks to provide insights into treatment responses.

  • Who can participate: Information about age criteria and key eligibility factors is not specified.
  • Study details: Participants will take part in assessments that measure bodily functions related to their condition. These assessments will help in understanding the connection between trauma and current health issues.
