The purpose of this study is to test the HomeSHARE sensing infrastructure with 2-homes of older adults in Bloomington, Indiana.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Age: 65 years - 100 years

Gender: All
Inclusion Criteria
Live alone in an apartment or home in the community and intend to reside there for the next year
Live in Bloomington, IN
Exclusion Criteria
People who have significant cognitive decline or have diagnosed Alzheimer's or dementia
This study investigates how technologies can support older adults who live independently. The purpose of this study is to test a system called HomeSHARE in two homes in Bloomington, Indiana.
Participants will have the HomeSHARE system set up in their homes. This system includes sensors that help monitor daily activities. Participants will receive compensation for their time.
- Who can participate: Adults who live alone in an apartment or home in Bloomington, Indiana, and plan to stay there for the next year can participate. People with significant cognitive decline or diagnosed Alzheimer's or dementia are not eligible.
- Study details: Participants will have the HomeSHARE system installed, which uses sensors to track daily activities. They will be compensated for their involvement.
