Diabetes Prevention Study for Women with Previous Gestational Diabetes
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to offer women with a history of gestational diabetes access to diabetes prevention programming; their children 10 and older can participate.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Gestational Diabetes,Diabetes

Age: 10 years - 100 years

Gender: Female
Inclusion Criteria
1. History of gestational diabetes in previous pregnancy(ies)
2. For children, they must be the child of a participating mother who had a history of gestational diabetes
3. Age criteria: children 8-15, women 18 and older
Exclusion Criteria
1. Women currently pregnant.
The purpose of this study is to investigate diabetes prevention programs for women who have had gestational diabetes. Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that occurs during pregnancy and usually goes away after the baby is born. This study also involves the children of these women who are 10 years or older.
Participants will engage in activities related to diabetes prevention. This may include lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise programs designed to reduce the risk of developing diabetes in the future.
- Who can participate: Women who have had gestational diabetes in a previous pregnancy and are 18 years or older can participate. Their children, aged 8 to 15, can also join if they meet the criteria. Women who are currently pregnant cannot participate.
- Study details: Participants will take part in diabetes prevention programs, which may involve lifestyle changes like diet and exercise.
