The purpose of this study is to understand how non-native speakers of English process grammar in the brain compared to native speakers of English.

Inclusion Criteria
To participate in this study, a subject must fall under any of the following categories:
1) Native English speaker
2) Native Chinese speaker and second language speaker of English
This study investigates how non-native speakers of English process grammar in the brain compared to native speakers. The purpose is to understand the differences in brain activity between these two groups when processing English grammar.
Participants will undergo brain imaging procedures to observe and compare their brain activity. Brain imaging is a technique used to take pictures of the brain to see how it functions during different tasks.
- Who can participate: Adults who are either native English speakers or native Chinese speakers who speak English as a second language can participate.
- Study details: Participants will take part in brain imaging sessions to monitor their brain activity while processing English grammar. This will involve undergoing scans in a controlled environment.
