Brief description of study.

We are looking for volunteers to participate in a research study to learn more about screening and treatment for youth who use alcohol or drugs. This study will help to develop an adult and adolescent substance abuse assessment tool and aims to improve the quality of care for youth and adults with substance abuse disorders.

Detailed description of study

Participants will be asked to complete a substance abuse assessment via computer, smart phone, or tablet.
 
Participation will require a maximum of two hours. 
 
 
Compensation 
Participants will be compensated.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: teen,adolescent,healthy,drug abuse,substance abuse disorder,youth,adult,drug use,teens,adolescents
  • Age: 11 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

Adult Eligibility Criteria:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be fluent in English
Must have access to a smart phone, tablet, or laptop with internet/data plan access
 
Adolescent Eligibility Criteria:
Must be 11-17 years of age or older
Must be fluent in English
Must have access to a smart phone, tablet, or laptop with internet/data plan access

This study investigates screening and treatment methods for young people who use alcohol or drugs. The purpose is to develop a tool for assessing substance abuse in both adults and adolescents. Substance abuse refers to the harmful or hazardous use of psychoactive substances, including alcohol and illicit drugs.

Participants will complete a substance abuse assessment using a computer, smartphone, or tablet. This assessment will help researchers understand how to better support individuals with substance abuse disorders. The study will not take more than two hours to complete.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18 and older and adolescents aged 11 to 17 who are fluent in English and have access to a smartphone, tablet, or laptop with internet/data plan can participate.
  • Study details: Participants will complete a substance abuse assessment on a computer, smartphone, or tablet. This assessment will take up to two hours.
