The temporal stability of conditioned pain modulation and temporal summation of pain among healthy adults
Study on Pain Level Identification and Treatment
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to determine how consistently and reliably people are able to distinguish among levels of pain they experience in order to improve the treatment of pain.

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: healthy,pain modulation
-
Age: 18 years - 40 years
-
Gender: All
Exclusion Criteria
Chronic cardiovascular disease: myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial disease, stroke, angina, atrial fibrillation, chronic heart failure, have undergone a revascularization procedure

Neurological disease
Serious psychiatric conditions or hospitalization within the preceding year for psychiatric illness

Current use of narcotics
Current use of tobacco products
Uncontrolled hypertension
This study investigates how well people can identify different levels of pain they experience. The aim is to understand pain perception better to potentially enhance pain treatment methods. Pain is an uncomfortable sensation that can vary from mild to severe, and understanding how individuals perceive it can help in managing it effectively.
Participants in this study will undergo procedures to assess their ability to differentiate between various pain levels. This involves experiencing controlled pain stimuli and reporting on their perception of the pain intensity. The findings will contribute to improving pain management strategies.
- Who can participate: Adults who do not have chronic cardiovascular, metabolic, or neurological diseases, serious psychiatric conditions, chronic opioid use, or uncontrolled hypertension may be eligible. Participants must not use narcotics or tobacco products.
- Study details: Participants will be asked to report on their perception of pain intensity during the study. They will experience controlled pain stimuli and provide feedback on the pain levels they perceive.
