This study investigates the experiences and attitudes of mothers and autistic women towards healthcare and telehealth services. The purpose is to understand how these factors influence the use of telehealth for assessing autism risk. Telehealth refers to healthcare services delivered remotely, often through phone or video calls.

Participants will take part in a 90-minute phone interview at a time that suits them. During this interview, they will discuss their experiences with healthcare access and their opinions on remote healthcare delivery. This will help researchers learn about the factors that affect telehealth use.

  • Who can participate: This study is open to mothers living in Indiana, mothers of children with certain genetic syndromes, mothers who identify as autistic, and autistic women who are considering conceiving.
  • Study details: Participants will engage in a single 90-minute interview conducted over the phone. This interview will cover personal experiences with healthcare and opinions on telehealth.
  • Study Visits: The study requires 1 visit.
