This study investigates the connection between how people respond to visual and auditory stimuli and their alcohol-related behaviors. Alcohol use disorders can be hard to treat because individuals may not react to the negative effects on their health and life. Researchers aim to understand how people who continue to drink despite negative consequences behave.
Participants will be involved in procedures that test their response to certain laboratory measures related to alcohol-seeking behavior. These measures may help identify early signs of alcohol-related disorders and changes in brain function. Participants will receive compensation for their time.
- Who can participate: Adults who drink alcohol are eligible to participate in this study.
- Study details: Participants will engage in activities that assess their reaction to visual and auditory stimuli in relation to their drinking habits.
