Brief description of study.

The goal of this project is to secure lung, tissue and blood samples of no clinical or diagnostic value from patients with cystic fibrosis (CF), and provide them to qualified and approved medical researchers.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of the tissue and blood sample collection is to provide Cystic Fibrosis lung tissue to researchers, to support studies into the molecular mechanisms underlying the disease.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: cystic fibrosis
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Positive diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis
Lung Transplant surgery is planned
Agree to donate native lung tissue

This study investigates cystic fibrosis, a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and other organs. The purpose is to collect lung, tissue, and blood samples from patients with cystic fibrosis to help researchers study the disease's molecular mechanisms.

Participants will undergo a procedure to collect lung, tissue, and blood samples. These samples are of no clinical or diagnostic value and will be used solely for research purposes.

  • Who can participate: Participants must have a positive diagnosis of cystic fibrosis and be scheduled for lung transplant surgery. They must also agree to donate their native lung tissue.
  • Study details: Participants will donate lung, tissue, and blood samples. These samples are collected during lung transplant surgery and are used for research purposes only.
