This study investigates the role of family environment in the development of children who have hearing loss. Hearing loss can affect how children grow and learn, and the family setting may influence these outcomes.
Participants will be involved in procedures that help researchers understand these developmental impacts better. These may include interviews, surveys, or assessments related to the child's hearing and developmental progress.
- Who can participate: Children with cochlear implants or hearing aids, identified with hearing loss by age 2, and who started intervention by age 2 can participate. Children with normal hearing and typical development can also join. An English-speaking parent is required.
- Study details: Participants will engage in activities such as interviews and assessments to evaluate the developmental outcomes influenced by their family environment. These activities will help researchers understand the impact of family settings on children with hearing loss.
