This study investigates the effectiveness of a group therapy program for individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The purpose of this study is to understand how changing thoughts about other people's behaviors can affect feelings of anger and aggression in those who have had a TBI. Traumatic brain injury can lead to problems with anger, and this study aims to explore how therapy might help manage these feelings.
Participants will take part in the ICAN therapy program, which is designed to help them think differently about others' actions. The study will look at how participants feel about the therapy, how it changes their interpretation of others' behaviors, and whether it reduces anger and aggression. Participants will be paid for their participation in this pilot study.
- Who can participate: Individuals who have experienced a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury at least one year ago are eligible to participate.
- Study details: Participants will engage in a group therapy program aimed at altering their perceptions of others' behaviors to manage anger and aggression.
