Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to verify that our pulse-measuring camera, the PhysioCam, can also pick up vasomotor activity (tiny changes in the blood vessels in your face).

Detailed description of study

We will be comparing and contrasting physiological data gathered from the PhysioCam with data gathered from our other sensors to verify that the PhysioCam is indeed capturing vasomotor activity.
This study takes place in Bloomington, IN.

Participants will not be paid for their participation.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

Exclusion Criteria
Taking medications for cardiac conditions or blood pressure regulation
Have a pacemaker
Have recently (within the past twelve months) been hospitalized for a head injury or major surgery
Those with dietary restrictions that would impede them from consuming potato chips
Those prone to urticaria (hives) are discouraged from participating, as hypoallergenic sensors could still cause skin irritation/an allergic reaction. Also excluded from the study will be

This study investigates the ability of a special camera, called the PhysioCam, to detect tiny changes in blood vessels on the face, known as vasomotor activity. The PhysioCam's data will be compared with other sensors to ensure accuracy in capturing these changes.

Participants will undergo procedures where their physiological data is gathered using the PhysioCam and other sensors. This will help verify the camera's effectiveness in detecting vasomotor activity.

  • Who can participate: Participants should not be taking medications for heart conditions or blood pressure, have a pacemaker, or have been recently hospitalized for head injury or major surgery. Those with allergies to certain foods, prone to skin reactions, or with dietary restrictions that would impede them from consuming potato chips should not participate.
  • Study details: Participants will have their physiological data collected using the PhysioCam and other sensors. The study does not offer compensation for participation.
