The objective of the research study is to investigate and document health information technology (IT) workarounds that could pose significant risk to patient safety.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how health information technology (IT) workarounds might affect patient safety. Workarounds are alternative methods used to overcome obstacles in IT systems, which can sometimes introduce risks.

Participants in this study will help researchers identify and document these workarounds in healthcare settings. This will involve observing and recording how IT systems are used in practice.

  • Who can participate: Participants should be healthcare professionals aged 18 and over who use IT systems in their daily work.
  • Study details: Participants will be observed as they use health IT systems to identify any workarounds. No interventions or use of placebos are involved.
