Analysis of Immunologic Responses in the Lung
Study on Immune Response to Pneumonia (a lung infection)
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to obtain lung and blood cells to examine their ability to mount an effective immune response against organisms that cause pneumonia.
Detailed description of study

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Healthy
-
Age: 18 years - 100 years
-
Gender: All
This study investigates how lung and blood cells respond to organisms that cause pneumonia. Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs, which may fill with fluid.
The study will involve collecting samples of lung and blood cells from participants to analyze their immune response. This helps researchers understand how the body fights pneumonia.
- Who can participate: Participants must meet specific age criteria and other eligibility factors, which will be provided upon inquiry.
- Study details: Participants will provide lung and blood cell samples for analysis. An inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine may be used if applicable.
