Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Diabetes - Type II
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the effectiveness of a lifestyle modification model for weight loss in adults who are overweight and have pre-diabetes. Pre-diabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as type 2 diabetes.

Participants will follow a specific lifestyle modification program and their weight loss will be compared to those receiving standard lifestyle advice. The study will assess the long-term sustainability of weight loss in both groups.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18-65 who are overweight and have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: This investigational study involves participants in a lifestyle modification program designed to promote weight loss. The program's effectiveness will be compared to standard lifestyle advice given to another group. If applicable, a placebo will be used, defined as an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine.
