Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Diabetes - Type I
  • Age: 5 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the use of insulin pump therapy in very young children diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes is a condition where the body has trouble managing blood sugar levels, and insulin is a hormone that helps control these levels. The study aims to understand if using an insulin pump can safely and effectively help young children maintain normal blood sugar levels.

Participants in this study will use an insulin pump, which is a small device that delivers insulin continuously through a tiny tube inserted under the skin. The study will monitor how well the pump helps control blood sugar levels and ensure it is safe for young children to use.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to very young children diagnosed with diabetes, specifically those aged 1 to 6 years. Participants should have a medical diagnosis confirming their condition.
  • Study details: Participants will be required to use an insulin pump, a device that continuously delivers insulin. The study will involve monitoring blood sugar levels to ensure the pump's effectiveness and safety.
