Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to find out if there is a relationship between the levels of certain proteins (biomarkers) during critical illness that needs intensive care admission, and depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Depression,Anxiety,Delirium,Cognition
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the relationship between the levels of certain proteins, known as biomarkers, during critical illness that requires admission to intensive care, and the development of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Biomarkers are substances in the body that can be measured and may indicate a disease or condition.

Participants in the study will undergo assessments to measure the levels of these biomarkers during their stay in intensive care. The study will also include evaluations for symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD to determine if there is any correlation with the biomarker levels.

  • Who can participate: Eligibility criteria are not specified in the provided information. Please include age range and other key eligibility factors if available.
  • Study details: Participants will have their biomarker levels measured while in intensive care and will be assessed for symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
