Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Bariatric Surgery
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the outcomes of different surgical procedures related to Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (LAGB). LAGB is a type of weight-loss surgery where a band is placed around the upper part of the stomach to create a small pouch to hold food. This study focuses on the removal of the band, rebanding, and other revision surgeries to address complications that may arise from the initial procedure.

Participants in this study will undergo one of the surgical procedures, which may include the removal of the gastric band, placing a new band, or other corrective surgeries. These procedures aim to address issues that have developed from the initial LAGB surgery. The study will assess the outcomes of these surgeries to better understand their effectiveness and safety.

  • Who can participate: General eligibility criteria include adults who have previously undergone LAGB surgery and are experiencing complications requiring further surgical intervention.
  • Study details: Participants will undergo a surgical procedure related to their previous LAGB surgery. This may involve removing the existing band, replacing it with a new one, or undergoing another type of surgery to correct complications. The study will assess the outcomes of these procedures to understand their effectiveness and safety.
