The purpose of this study is to compare the two most common operative methods currently used in the treatment of proximal tibia (the upper part of the shinbone) fractures: intramedullary nailing and plate fixation.

The purpose of this study is to compare the two most common operative methods currently used in the treatment of proximal tibia (the upper part of the shinbone) fractures: intramedullary nailing and plate fixation.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Proximal Tibia Fracture

Age: 18 years - 100 years

This study investigates the treatment of fractures in the upper part of the shinbone, known as proximal tibia fractures. The study compares two surgical methods: intramedullary nailing, where a rod is inserted into the bone, and plate fixation, where a metal plate is attached to the bone to hold it in place.
Participants will undergo one of the two surgical procedures being studied. The study will observe the outcomes of these procedures to determine which method is more effective for treating proximal tibia fractures.
- Who can participate: Eligible participants are adults aged 18 to 65 with proximal tibia fractures requiring surgical intervention. Key eligibility factors include the type and severity of the fracture, as determined by the study's clinical assessment.
- Study details: Participants will receive either intramedullary nailing or plate fixation to treat their proximal tibia fracture. The study will monitor the healing and recovery process to evaluate the effectiveness of each method.
