Imaging in Burn Patients: A Retrospective Body Composition and Organ Mass Analysis
Investigating Organ Size Changes in Burn Injury Patients
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to document potential changes in organ size in patients with significant burn injury versus non-burned age and sex matched controls.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to document potential changes in organ size in patients with significant burn injury versus non-burned age and sex matched controls.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Burn Injury
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
The purpose of this study is to investigate how organ sizes may change in patients who have experienced significant burn injuries compared to individuals of the same age and sex who have not been burned. This study aims to understand how burn injuries might affect the body differently than in those without such injuries.
Participants in this study will undergo various medical assessments to measure their organ sizes. These assessments are crucial to determine any differences between the burned patients and the control group, which includes individuals without burn injuries. The study will help in understanding the impact of burns on organ size.
- Who can participate: Participants must have experienced significant burn injuries or be age and sex matched controls without burn injuries.
- Study details: The study involves comparing organ size measurements between burned patients and non-burned controls.
