Peri-operative bleeding in cardiac transplant patients with prior cardiac surgery

The proposed project will retrospectively look at pre-operative, peri-operative, immediately post-operative, and follow up data for all cardiac transplant patients >17 years old via OTTR and CERNER EMR systems at IU Health through the Advanced Cardiac Care clinic at Methodist Hospital. . Goals include creating an e-cloud database via IU?s RedCap secure application, mining the OTTR and CERNER EMR systems, and finding statistically relevant comparisons between pre-operative history of cardiac surgery and peri-operative bleeding during cardiac transplant.
