Ultrasonography in the evaluation of Crohn's disease in children
Investigation of Magnetic Resonance Enterography in Children with Crohn's Disease
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to conduct a prospective study in children who are scheduled to undergo magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) for the clinical evaluation of Chrohn's disease (CD).
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to conduct a prospective study in children who are scheduled to undergo magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) for the clinical evaluation of Chrohn's disease (CD).
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Crohn's disease
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) in children who have Crohn's disease. Crohn's disease is a condition that causes inflammation in the digestive tract, leading to symptoms like stomach pain and diarrhea. MRE is a type of imaging test that helps doctors see inside the intestines without using radiation.
Participants in the study will undergo an MRE, which is a painless procedure similar to an MRI. During the MRE, children will lie still in a machine that takes detailed pictures of their intestines. This will help doctors assess the severity of Crohn's disease and plan appropriate treatment.
- Who can participate: Children aged X to Y who are scheduled to undergo magnetic resonance enterography for Crohn's disease evaluation are eligible.
- Study details: Participants will undergo a magnetic resonance enterography scan. This is a non-invasive imaging test that provides detailed pictures of the intestines.
