The purpose of this study is to explore factors that may contribute to the low rates of attainment within developmental math an in community college more broadly, as well as a novel intervention to address these issues.

The purpose of this study is to explore factors that may contribute to the low rates of attainment within developmental math in community colleges. Developmental math refers to courses designed to help students reach college-level proficiency in mathematics. This study investigates potential barriers and challenges students face in these courses.
Participants in this study will take part in various activities designed to identify and address these challenges. The study will include a novel intervention aimed at improving student success rates in developmental math courses.
- Who can participate: Participants must be community college students enrolled in developmental math courses. Key eligibility factors include being 18 years or older and having previously attempted a developmental math course.
- Study details: Participants will engage in activities designed to identify and address challenges in developmental math courses. The study will include an investigational intervention to improve success rates.
