The purpose of this study is to investigate the comprehension of conversational implicatures by L2 learners of English using scenes from a TV series "Friends" and asking participants what their interpretations are based on scenes including conversational implicatures.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the comprehension of conversational implicatures by L2 learners of English using scenes from a TV series "Friends" and asking participants what their interpretations are based on scenes including conversational implicatures.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

The purpose of this study is to investigate how people learning English as a second language understand conversational implicatures. Conversational implicatures are when someone implies something without saying it directly. This study uses scenes from the TV series 'Friends' to see how learners interpret these indirect messages.
Participants will watch scenes from 'Friends' and explain what they think the characters mean in conversations. This will help researchers understand how well learners can pick up on indirect communication.
- Who can participate: Participants should be learners of English as a second language, aged 18 to 35 years.
- Study details: Participants will watch scenes from a TV series and share their interpretations of the conversations.
