Glyphosate Exposure in Pregnant Women
Investigation of Glyphosate Exposure in Pregnant Women
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to measure glyphosate and its major metabolite amino-methylphosphonic acid in pregnant women to assess the risk of exposure and associated adverse outcomes.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to measure glyphosate and its major metabolite amino-methylphosphonic acid in pregnant women to assess the risk of exposure and associated adverse outcomes.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: pregnant
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates the levels of glyphosate and its major metabolite, amino-methylphosphonic acid, in pregnant women. Glyphosate is a chemical commonly found in herbicides, and amino-methylphosphonic acid is what glyphosate becomes after it is broken down in the body. The purpose of this study is to understand the potential risks associated with exposure to these substances during pregnancy.
Participants in this study will be asked to provide samples that will be tested for glyphosate and its metabolite. This procedure will help researchers determine the levels of these chemicals in the body and assess any possible health risks. The study does not involve any treatment or medication.
- Who can participate: Pregnant women are eligible to participate in this study. There are no specific age criteria.
- Study details: Participants will provide samples for testing to measure glyphosate and its metabolite levels. No treatment or medication is involved in this study.
