Retrospective Clinical Review of Children with Rare Diffuse Lung Diseases
Studying Lung Diseases in Children
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to apply a new classification system for pediatric disorders presenting with diffuse lung disease in children birth to 18 years, to characterize the distribution of disease entities in this classification system to now include children > 2 years of age, and to describe clinical phenotypes based upon clinical data and diagnostic data.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to apply a new classification system for pediatric disorders presenting with diffuse lung disease in children birth to 18 years, to characterize the distribution of disease entities in this classification system to now include children > 2 years of age, and to describe clinical phenotypes based upon clinical data and diagnostic data.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: Rare Diffuse Lung Disease
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates a new classification system for pediatric disorders that involve diffuse lung disease. Diffuse lung disease refers to a group of lung conditions that affect the lung's ability to function properly. The study includes children from birth to 18 years old and aims to better understand the distribution of these diseases in children over 2 years of age.
The study will gather clinical and diagnostic data to describe the clinical phenotypes, which are observable traits of the diseases. This means researchers will look at how the diseases present themselves in children and how they can be categorized using the new system.
- Who can participate: Children from birth to 18 years old with diffuse lung disease are eligible for this study.
- Study details: Participants will provide clinical and diagnostic data to help researchers describe the clinical phenotypes of diffuse lung diseases.
