Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tissue distribution and pharmacokinetics of the Ga-68-HBED-CC radiopharmaceutical, allowing estimation of radiation dosimetry for this targeted radiopharmaceutical intended for clinical use in imaging to detect prostate cancer.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the tissue distribution and pharmacokinetics of the Ga-68-HBED-CC radiopharmaceutical, allowing estimation of radiation dosimetry for this targeted radiopharmaceutical intended for clinical use in imaging to detect prostate cancer.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: prostate cancer
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the use of a special imaging agent to find prostate cancer. The purpose of this study is to see how the imaging agent moves in the body and how much radiation it gives off. This can help doctors understand how safe and effective it is for use in patients with prostate cancer.

Participants in the study will receive the imaging agent, and doctors will monitor how it travels through their body. This involves taking pictures to see where the agent goes and measuring the amount of radiation given off by the agent.

  • Who can participate: The study is open to male participants aged 50 to 75 years who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Key eligibility factors include no prior treatment with investigational imaging agents and no significant comorbidities that might interfere with the study results.
  • Study details: Participants will receive an imaging agent and undergo scans to track its distribution. A placebo, defined as an inactive substance that looks like the investigational medicine/vaccine but does not contain any medicine, is used as a comparison.
