The purpose of this study is to determine if a carbohydrate mouth rinse causes an insulin response during a 40 km time trial on a stationary bike.

  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

The purpose of this study is to determine if a carbohydrate mouth rinse causes an insulin response during a 40 km time trial on a stationary bike. Insulin is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels in the body. This study investigates how using a carbohydrate mouth rinse might influence insulin production during exercise.

Participants will be asked to perform a 40 km time trial on a stationary bike. During the trial, they will use a mouth rinse containing carbohydrates. The study will monitor changes in insulin levels to see if the mouth rinse has any effect. No actual ingestion of the carbohydrate solution occurs; it is only used as a rinse.
