This study investigates the geographic distribution of the phonemic trill in two urban dialects of Colombian Spanish. The phonemic trill is a type of sound made by vibrating the tongue against the roof of the mouth, and it is common in many Spanish-speaking regions.
Participants will be asked to produce specific sounds while their speech is recorded and analyzed. This will help researchers understand how different factors might affect the way the trill is articulated in these dialects.
- Who can participate: Participants must be native speakers of Colombian Spanish, aged 18-65, with no speech or hearing impairments.
- Study details: Participants will be required to produce specific sounds for analysis. Their speech will be recorded to study trill articulation.
