The Utility of Endobronchial ultrasound for lung cancer staging prior to SBRT
Investigating Lung Cancer Stages and Treatment Outcomes
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to collect data on lung cancer patients to figure out what stage of lung cancer they had, what was found on bronchoscopy, and Endobronchial ultrasound, what type of chest imaging was done and how they received their radiation treatment. We will then attempt to correlate this data with response to radiation therapy, to survival rate and to recurrent disease in the lymph nodes.

Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: lung cancer
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
This study investigates lung cancer to understand the stages patients have, what is found during bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound, and the types of chest imaging and radiation treatment they receive. Bronchoscopy is a procedure where doctors look inside the lungs using a thin tube, and endobronchial ultrasound is a test that uses sound waves to see the lungs and nearby areas.
The study will collect data from these procedures and try to find patterns between them and how patients respond to radiation therapy. It will also look at survival rates and if the cancer returns in the lymph nodes, which are small glands that help fight infection.
- Who can participate: Participants must meet specific age criteria and other eligibility factors, which will be provided by the study coordinators.
- Study details: Participants will provide data from their medical procedures to help researchers understand lung cancer better. This includes information from tests like bronchoscopy and imaging scans.
