Brief description of study.

The purpose of this study is to compare pre- and post-diltiazem protocol implementation outcomes of supraventricular tachycardia patients in the emergency department.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to compare pre- and post-diltiazem protocol implementation outcomes of supraventricular tachycardia patients in the emergency department.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: tachycardia
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the outcomes of patients with supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) before and after a specific protocol is implemented in the emergency department. Supraventricular tachycardia is a condition where the heart beats very fast due to improper electrical activity in the upper part of the heart.

Participants will follow a protocol involving the use of an investigational medication to manage their heart rate. The study will compare the effects of this protocol with outcomes before its implementation, focusing on heart rate control and patient safety.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be adults diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia and treated in the emergency department. Other specific eligibility criteria are not provided.
  • Study details: Participants will receive treatment according to the new protocol, which includes an investigational medication. The effects of this treatment will be compared with previous outcomes.
