REPAIR: Rehabilitation Enhanced by Partial Arterial Inflow Restriction - a METRC (Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium) Study
Comparison of Investigational Intervention and Usual Care Physical Therapy
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the REPAIR intervention when compared to usual care PT alone.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the REPAIR intervention when compared to usual care PT alone.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: femur fracture
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of an investigational intervention known as REPAIR, compared to usual care physical therapy (PT) alone. Physical therapy is a treatment method that helps improve movement and manage pain through exercises and other techniques.
Participants in this study will undergo specific procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of the REPAIR intervention. These procedures might include physical assessments, questionnaires, or other standard measures used in physical therapy studies.
- Who can participate: Participants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including age between 18 and 65 years, having a diagnosed condition requiring physical therapy, and no prior participation in similar investigational studies.
- Study details: Participants will be assigned to either the investigational intervention group or the usual care PT group. The investigational intervention involves specific activities designed to enhance recovery, while usual care PT includes standard physical therapy exercises.
