Habituation of Automatic Attention Capture by Audio during Cognitive Load
Investigating Attention Capture by Audio in Simulated Radio
Brief description of study.
The purpose of this study is to build on previous research regarding automatic attention capture at the onset of songs, jingles, and sound effects in simulated radio broadcasts.
Detailed description of study
The purpose of this study is to build on previous research regarding automatic attention capture at the onset of songs, jingles, and sound effects in simulated radio broadcasts.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: healthy
-
Age: 100 years or below
-
Gender: All
The purpose of this study is to investigate how songs, jingles, and sound effects can capture attention automatically when they first start playing in simulated radio broadcasts. This study aims to build on previous research in this area, examining how different audio elements can influence listener attention.
Participants in this study will listen to simulated radio broadcasts that include various audio elements like songs, jingles, and sound effects. The study will assess how these elements capture attention at the onset, helping researchers understand the impact of audio cues.
- Who can participate: Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 65. Key eligibility factors include normal hearing ability and no history of neurological disorders.
- Study details: Participants will listen to different audio elements in a simulated radio setting to observe attention capture. They will not be required to take any specific actions other than listening.
