In speech-language therapy, clinicians typically create rating scales as aids for their clients to think about and be aware of their progress. Very little research on the efficacy of these scales, or optimal use of such scales, has been conducted. It is unknown even how reliably different clinicians and their clients might use each scale. This exploratory study aims to quantify the reliability of use of one particular scale, which is based on a variety of scales in actual clinical use.

This study investigates the reliability of a specific rating scale used in speech-language therapy. Rating scales are tools that help clients understand and track their progress during therapy. However, there is limited research on how effective these scales are or how they should be used. This study aims to measure how consistently different clinicians and their clients use a particular rating scale that is commonly used in clinical settings.
Participants in this study will use the rating scale during their speech-language therapy sessions. The study will observe how both clinicians and clients interact with the scale to determine its reliability. By doing this, the researchers hope to gather information on the scale's use in real-world therapy sessions.
- Who can participate: Eligibility criteria include adults aged 18 and over who are currently undergoing speech-language therapy.
