Neuropsychological Social Emotional and Behavioral Outcomes in Children with Cancer
Study on Neuropsychological and Behavioral Testing in Young Cancer Patients
Brief description of study.
This research trial studies neuropsychological (learning, remembering or thinking) and behavioral testing in younger patients with cancer. Collecting information over time from a series of tests may help doctors develop effective tests to measure neuropsychological and behavioral function of patients with cancer.

Patient must have receptive and expressive English language skills
Exclusion Criteria
Patients with a history of severe or profound mental retardation
This study investigates how neuropsychological and behavioral tests can be used for younger patients with cancer. Neuropsychological tests assess functions such as learning, remembering, or thinking. Behavioral tests look at actions and reactions. By conducting these tests over time, researchers aim to find effective ways to measure how cancer affects these functions.
Participants in this study will undergo various tests that assess their learning, memory, thinking, and behavior. These tests will help gather important data about how cancer impacts these areas. Participants will not receive any payment for their involvement.
- Who can participate: Participants must be enrolled in a COG therapeutic study and have receptive and expressive English language skills. Those with a history of severe or profound mental retardation are excluded.
- Study details: Participants will take part in neuropsychological and behavioral tests that measure learning, memory, thinking, and behavior. These tests are designed to gather data on the effects of cancer on these functions.
