Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to examine how a patient's oral environment including bacterial load, pH, and S. mutans counts might be altered after the consumption of probiotics.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates how consuming probiotics might change the oral environment, including the amount of bacteria, the acidity level (pH), and counts of a specific bacteria called S. mutans. Probiotics are live bacteria that are good for your health, especially your digestive system.

Participants in this study will consume probiotics, and researchers will measure changes in their oral environment. This includes checking the bacterial load, pH levels, and S. mutans counts to see how these factors are affected.

  • Who can participate: Adults aged 18-65 with no significant dental or medical conditions are eligible to participate.
  • Study details: Participants will consume probiotics, and researchers will monitor changes in their oral environment. A placebo, which is an inactive substance that looks like the investigational product but does not contain any medicine, may be used for comparison.
