Detailed description of study

The purpose of this study is to assess the number of c.diff infections related to bladder surgery in an effort to predict how best to predict, prevent, and treat c.diff infection.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: bladder cancer
  • Age: 100 years or below
  • Gender: All

This study investigates the occurrence of C.diff infections that happen after bladder surgery. C.diff, or Clostridioides difficile, is a type of bacteria that can cause severe diarrhea and more serious intestinal conditions. The study aims to understand how often these infections occur and explore ways to predict, prevent, and treat them.

Participants in this study will undergo procedures related to their bladder surgery and will be monitored for any signs of C.diff infection. The study will collect data on infection rates and outcomes to help develop better prevention and treatment strategies.

  • Who can participate: Participants must be adults aged 18 and older who are undergoing bladder surgery. Additional eligibility factors include a history of bladder issues and no prior diagnosis of C.diff infection.
  • Study details: Participants will be monitored for C.diff infections after their bladder surgery. The study will focus on collecting data about infection rates and treatment outcomes.
